SoilSyrup FAQ
What is SoilSyrup?
SoilSyrup is a concentrated, easy-to-use solution of humic acid.
What is humic acid?
Millions of years ago, earths mineral-rich soils produced a profusion of lush green forests. As this lush growth of vegetation died, it accumulated in the earth and was later buried by rock, mudflows and deposits of sand and silt. Over the ages, the vegetation underwent compaction and heating. This compaction process squeezed out the organic acids present in the vegetation and formed a layer of rich Leonardite shale. During this 300 million year process, the simple products of decomposition are converted into ultra-rich humic acids.
Why Should I use SoilSyrup?
'If your yard or garden has poor soil, SoilSyrup organic humic acid is the best way to condition and improve soils. SoilSyrup activates soil nutrients, adds organic matter, and aerates the earth for a more productive soil. This results in increased yield for your vegetable gardens, and more plentiful growth in indoor gardening and houseplant care.
Where can I use SoilSyrup?
You can use SoilSyrup EVERYWHERE! SoilSyrup is great for use in the garden or lawn, for vegetable gardening, container gardening, flower gardening and indoor gardening, too. SoilSyrup is also great for chemically breaking down clay soils and making them more productive. SoilSyrup is easy to apply either by adding a little concentrate to your watering regimen for indoor gardening or container gardening, or using our hose-end sprayer for the garden or yard. When should I use SoilSyrup?
Use SoilSyrup EVERY time you water to gently release nutrients, improve soil and make your fertilizer more effective. It is great for use on indoor plants throughout the winter instead of fertilizer. It makes an excellent early spring and late fall soil treatment for lawns, landscape and gardens, helping build up soil humate levels and increasing beneficial microorganism activity for truly healthy soils.
Should I use SoilSyrup with Fertilizer?
YES!, SoilSyrup Makes Fertilizer More Effective. Humic acid acts to make fertilizers more effective. By chemically bonding to plants roots, it allows for better uptake of fertilizer by the plant so you can fertilizer less and actually grow more. This makes SoilSyrup the perfect addition for flower gardening to boost flower growth, indoor gardening to help replenish nutrients quickly, container gardening to revive worn out soil, and vegetable gardening for even better yields.
Is SoilSyrup safe around pets? How long should I wait after applying before I let them on it?
All our Lawn Care products are 100% safe for use around pets. As long as you sprayed with a hose end sprayer, and gave the lawn a light rinse, then the lawn is ready for use immediately after it dries.
Can I use SoilSyrup if I already have a service like Chemlawn?
YES. Our products won't interfere with these types of programs and should eventually help you get more out of the fertilizer you use.
Is SoilSyrup Compost?
NO. SoilSyrup is better than compost. All plants naturally reduce the available organic matter, or humus, in soils as they grow. Adding compost or compost tea can help improve the soil condition and replace the humus lost to plant growth, but compost contains only a fraction of the humus, in the form of humic acid, contained in SoilSyrup. SoilSyrup contains up to 200 times the amount of humic acid available in compost or compost tea, and can quickly revive worn-out or tired soils. And only SoilSyrup has the ability to process complex trace element and micro-nutrients for bigger, healthier plants. Because SoilSyrup is highly concentrated, it mixes evenly and goes on easy, without the mess of compost or compost teas. Its great for use in container gardening, indoor gardening, vegetable gardening, flower gardening and lawn care.
The SoilSyrup looks really thick and is stuck on the bottom of the bottle, what should I do?
The product sometimes settles. Simply shake the bottle vigorously to get it mixed up again if there is still plenty of liquid left if in the contain, or add more water to help dilute it a little before you shake it up.
What is the Shelf-Life of SoilSyrup?
If stored in a cool, dry place, SoilSyrup will remain potent for several years. You should avoid storing in areas where it may be exposed to extreme heat or freezing.
My Hose-end Sprayer isn't working correctly, what should I do?
Troubleshooting Your Hose-End Sprayer: If your SoilSyrup hose-end does not appear to be outputting, shake vigorously as the product may have settled. You can also dilute the SoilSyrup as needed to get it to output.
The sprayer force is dependent on your home water pressure. If it is coming out too fast, you can either turn the water pressure down on the garden hose, or stand further away from the watering area.
