Where can I purchase these Lawn Care products in my area?

Does your Lawn Care 1-2-3 and Lawn Start 1-2-3 work with all types of grass?

YES. Our Lawn Care products are designed to work with all types of grass including both cool and warm season varieties - Bahia, Bentgrass, Bermuda, Bluegrass, Buffalo, Carpet, Centipede, Fescue, Ryegrass, St. Augustine, Floratam and Zoysia.

I have clay soil, what should I use?

For clay soil conditions, Lawn Honey and SoilSyrup would be an excellent combination. Both have wetting agents that help them penetrate even hard pack clay soils. Lawn Honey will help hold moisture in the soil and improve aeration. Lawn Honey also works to physically change the soil structure of clay soils making them less compact. SoilSyrup will help boost humus levels and break down clay soil over time, making it more productive. SoilSyrup works on a chemical level to break down clay soils improve water filtration and increase humus levels. Frequent SoilSyrup treatments throughout the year will improve your soil and help it hold water. Both products will help get your sod off to a healthy start.

I have sandy soil, what should I use?

We actually have 2 products that will help improve the water retaining capabilities of sandy soil; Lawn Honey and SoilSyrup. Lawn Honey will work to actually trap moisture in the soil and prevent unnecessary drainage. As a polyacrylamide (water absorbing crystal), Lawn Honey will absorb the water and retain more of it for use by the grass, that's our "physical" solution to the problem and will provide immediate benefits. SoilSyrup will work over time to boost soil humus levels and improve the soil's own water retention capabilities. SoilSyrup works "chemically" to change soil structure over time.

We recommend using Lawn Honey and SoilSyrup about every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. The perfect easy to use 1-2 punch to improve your lawn in sandy soil conditions.

Do apply all the Lawn Care 1-2-3 products at the same time or should I between applications?

You may apply the products one right after the other. There is no need to wait between applications.

Applying Lawn Care Products: Apply Lawn Honey first, to help prep the soil to retain water and nutrients. When using Lawn Honey Refill for the hose-end sprayer, simply add the concentrate to the sprayer and spray. Apply Lawn Honey at a rate of 2 oz. per 1,000 square feet every 4-6 weeks for optimal results.

Apply SoilSyrup next to boost nutrients and condition the soil. When using SoilSyrup Concentrates to refill the hose-end sprayer, simply add the concentrate to the sprayer and spray. Apply SoilSyrup at a rate of 2 oz. per 1,000 square feet every 4-6 weeks for optimal results

Apply Algoflash next. If you've already applied Lawn Honey and SoilSyrup, you lawn will be fully prepped to get the most out of fertilizer treatments. This same sequence applies to any lawn fertilizer. Pour concentrated Algoflash into an empty hose-end sprayer bottle. Apply Algoflash at a rate of 4 oz. per 1,000 square feet every 4-6 weeks for optimal result. Thoroughly coat lawn area with solution and rinse with water.

Use MegaGro for trouble spots and new grass seed to boost growth and improve seed germination. MegaGro is NOT recommended for new sod. You'll want to wait a few weeks for the sod to establish itself before attempting to boost growth. Apply MegaGro at a rate of 2 oz. per 1,000 square feet as needed to boost growth or improve grass seed germination.

Can I use your lawn care products with a service like TruGreen or ChemLawn?

Yes, if you already have a lawn service fertilizing the lawn, we definitely recommend using our other lawn care products Lawn Honey, SoilSyrup, Liquid Rake or MegaGro to improve your lawn. You may not need to use Algoflash in conjunction with treatments like TruGreen or ChemLawn.

Can I use your Lawn Care products with a bug killer or weed killer?

Yes, you can generally use our products right after you apply a weed killer or bug killer. Check the label on your bug killer or weed killer for specific instructions.

Are these products safe around pets? How long should I wait after applying before I let them on it?

All our Lawn Care products are 100% safe for use around pets. As long as you sprayed with a hose end sprayer, and gave the lawn a light rinse, then the lawn is ready for use immediately after it dries.

How many times during year do I use your products?

Much of that will depend on local weather conditions and the shape of your lawn. We generally recommend using every 4-6 weeks during the growing season, but if you grass looks great, no need to reapply all products. Just a little fertilizer and SoilSyrup to keep things looking great would be all you need.

Do the $17.95 hose-end sprayers include the lawn care products?

Yes, all our hose-end sprayers come filled with Lawn Honey, SoilSyrup, MegaGro or Liquid Rake. The one exception is Algoflash. Algoflash can be applied using any of our hose-ends or you can purchase a separate sprayer on our website.

Can I use another sprayer with the Lawn Care products?

You can, but we don't recommend it. It's very important to get the right mix ratio, that's why we provide a spray that outputs the correct mixture of water and product.

What do you recommend for spots left from pets?

We have several products that will help get rid of brown spots caused buy pets. Dog urine can be high in salt content and cause injury to lawns, especially if the soil is dry and infertile. A dark green ring of grass can surround the spot, related to nitrogen contained in the urine. Heavy watering reduces the salts to a less toxic concentration. Lawn Honey and SoilSyrup can help reduce the salts and prevent brown spots.

What happens if this I get these Lawn products on flowers or shrubs. Are they well tolerated by flowers?

Algoflash SoilSyrup, and MegaGro, will not harm flowers and shrubs. If fact, all of these products can be used for foliar feeding. The amounts being used in the hose-end sprayer are just right for foliar feeding which includes flowers and shrubs. We do recommend that you be careful not to get Lawn Honey on the leaves of flowers and shrubs, but it can be used around the root areas of those plants.

Can I use your lawn care products with a service like TruGreen or ChemLawn?

Yes, if you already have a lawn service fertilizing the lawn, we definitely recommend using our other lawn care products Lawn Honey, SoilSyrup, Liquid Rake or MegaGro to improve your lawn. You may not need to use Algoflash in conjunction with treatments like TruGreen or ChemLawn.

Can I apply the Lawn Care 1-2-3 or Lawn Start 1-2-3 in addition to a fertilizer?

Yes, our lawn care products can used in conjuction with fertilizers and other lawn care products. In fact, we offer a complete Lawn Care package the includes Lawn Honey, Algoflash fertilizer and SoilSyrup soil conditioner. Everything you need for complete lawn care!

What about applying it with pesticides?

It is not recommended. Lawn Honey may enhance the activity of the pesticide and may cause turf damage in hot, dry weather conditions.

My Hose-end Sprayer isn't working correctly, what should I do?

Troubleshooting Your Hose-End Sprayer: If your Lawn Honey hose-end does not appear to be outputting, make sure that water has not gotten into the hose-end bottle. You notice this if the Lawn Honey has become white and gooey. If this occurs clean the dip tube thoroughly and re-attach.

NOTE: Cleaning your Lawn Honey hose-end sprayer. As a water-absorbing polymer, Lawn Honey can be tricky to clean. DO NOT use water initially to clean the sprayer. Use an acidic solution like lemon juice, vinegar or even coffee to rinse the sprayer.

If your SoilSyrup hose-end does not appear to be outputting, shake vigorously as the product may have settled. You can also dilute the SoilSyrup as needed to get it to output.

The sprayer force is dependent on your home water pressure. If it is coming out too fast, you can either turn the water pressure down on the garden hose, or stand further away from the watering area.
