Good flower gardening means feeding your plants regularly. Many varieties are fast-growers and require plenty of nutrients to produce beautiful blooms. Although there are no hard and fast rules for fertilizing effectively, using a complete balanced fertilizer takes a lot of the guesswork out of it. And since it's non-burning, it's safe enough to use every time you water. Flower gardening in containers also requires that you fertilize regularly, because you're flushing nutrients out with each watering.
